As a Journeyman Mechanic your role will be to assist and perform maintenance tasks on Chieftain trailers and trucks as well as Air North vehicles and equipment. The successful candidate would maintain safety standards at all times ensuring the safety of themselves and fellow teammates. This is an exciting position that would suit an energetic individual who is eager to learn and develop their mechanical skills. A skilled and experienced candidate would be considered for this position in lieu of certification.

Key responsibilities include:
· Conducting maintenance and repairs to trailers and highway tractors
· Troubleshooting and rectifying issues and defects
· Servicing fuel trailers on an annual and as-needed basis
· Servicing highway tractors as per maintenance and MVI bi-annual schedules
· Maintaining a clean, organized and efficient shop
· Maintaining up-to-date and accurate digital files
· Taking advantage of all learning and educational opportunities that the Company provides

Qualifications/Conditions of Employment:
· Grade 12 High School diploma or equivalent
· Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean abstract
· Must be physical fit (able to bend, kneel, crawl, stoop, climb, and lift up to 70 pounds repetitively) and able to work outside in all weather conditions
· Must successfully complete initial and recurrent courses and training
· Must adhere to all Company procedures and policies
· Must be a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident or show proof of right to work in Canada
