Skip the Sign Vancouver GP Inc. is hiring an admin assistant!

Skip the Sign Vancouver GP Inc. is expanding its business. Currently we have a few renovation contracts in Whitehorse, the capital of the Yukon.

Job Description/Duties:
• Works with management and construction team with admin support
• Assists with management on various tasks including arrange meetings, book tickets and hotels
• Be familiar with office software, and has basic booking skills
• Assists with coordinating the staff and temp workers, or sub-contractors
• Maintains office supplies and technical equipment and systems, including phones and the internet
• Ensures effective implementation of all company and client policies and procedures
• May be required to assist in the preparation of progress and summary reports
• May need to work overtime on occasion and handle stressful timelines or situations
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

Qualifications:
• A minimum of three to five years related experience, preferably within the construction industry, property management, project management, or transferable experience from related industries
• Diploma or degree in business, office administration, or project management would be an asset
• Strong computer skills including, but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheets, estimating, scheduling, and construction project management software
• Demonstrated ability to organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, monitor progress towards goals, track information, and pay attention to details
• Commitment to open communication and collaboration in a team environment
• Must be self-motivated, able to take initiative and work independently with little to no supervision at times while maintaining clear and timely communication with the management and teams
• Must understand and demonstrate professional and confidential behaviour and business ethics
• A vehicle and valid class 5 driver's license for occasional work-related travel would be an asset
• Must be a Canadian citizen or eligible to obtain legal authorization to work in Canada
• Another language will be an asset.
