Job Title: Journeyman Carpenter

Minto Mine Site Yukon Territory

Position Summary:

We require an experienced and qualified carpenter reporting to the Site Services Supervisor.

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
· Awareness of and compliance to the Company's Performance Management Standards
· Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to, be aware of and sponsor the Company's safety and environmental rules and procedures. Ensure accountability of Company's Environmental, Health, Safety, Sustainability policies
· Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures in compliance with Federal and Yukon building Codes & related regulatory / safety requirements
· Promote and participate in team approach to meeting goals and objectives;
· Achieves objectives through strong leadership, teamwork and delegation;
· Good problem solving skills;
· Ability to work independently with little supervision;
· Ability to work at heights;
· Practice and actively promote company environmental, health, safety and operational policies and procedures;
· Other duties as may be required by the Company.

Position Requirements:
· Interprovincial Journeyperson Carpenter ticket required
· 5 years related experience
· Experience in new construction and renovation is required
· Valid Driver's License
· Able to supply own hand tools
· Must be able to pass Fit for Duty screening

Working Conditions:

This position involves working at a remote mine site on a two week on/two week off rotation. There will be exposure to extreme temperatures in all seasons including working outdoors in snow, mud, ice and water conditions, walking to and from different locations on uneven ground, prolonged periods of standing and physically handling/lifting/moving heavy objects.
