Job Title: Journeyman Carpenter (TEMPORARY)                           Minto Mine  Yukon Territory
Position Summary: We require an experienced and qualified carpenter for a temporary position reporting to the Site Services Supervisor.

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
• Awareness of and compliance to the Company's Performance Management Standards.
• Be safety minded, adhere to, be aware of and sponsor the Company's safety and environmental rules and procedures. Ensure accountability of Company's Environmental, Health, Safety, Sustainability policies.
• Practice and actively promote Company safety, environmental, confidentiality and operational policies and procedures.
• Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures in compliance with Federal and Yukon building Codes & related regulatory / safety requirements.
• Promote and participate in team approach to meeting goals and objectives.
• Achieves objectives through strong teamwork.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Ability to work at heights.
• Other duties as may be required by the Company.

The Ideal Candidate:
Academic/Education Requirements:
• Interprovincial Journeyperson Carpenter ticket required.

Required Skills/Experience:
• 5 years related experience and building code knowledge.
• Experience in new construction and renovation is required.
• Metal siding and panic hardware experience is an asset
• Valid Driver's License
• Able to supply own hand tools
• Must be eligible to work in Canada.
• Must be able to pass FFD testing.

Working Conditions:

This position involves working at a remote mine site on a two week on/two week off rotation. There will be exposure to extreme temperatures in all seasons including working outdoors in snow, mud, ice and rain, walking to and from different locations on uneven ground, prolonged periods of standing and physically handling/lifting/moving heavy objects.
