Citizenship Registrar & Indian Registry Administrator

This is a full time term employment opportunity
with possibility of permanent full-time employment opportunity after probationary period.

Reporting to the Implementation & Negotiations Director, this position is responsible for managing all applications for Citizenship and to maintain the Teslin Tlingit Citizenship List and provide local support for the status registry system. The Registrar will maintain a current list of the names and addresses of all persons who are registered as Teslin Tlingit Citizens and conduct research of existing process for the creation, development and implementation of a Wills & Estates program and a Genealogy program of TTC citizens.

Education & Experience
• knowledge of records management methods, techniques and practices
• knowledge of TTCs history, culture & clan system, demographics, goals and aspirations
• knowledge of TTC policies and procedures
• knowledge of Final Agreement and the Final Agreement Implementation plan as it pertains to Enrollment
• ability to implement programs
• knowledge of the Indian Registry System
• knowledge of basic budgeting process

• receive and acknowledge receipt of applications from persons applying under this Citizenship Code and/or Indian Register system
• maintain demographic statistics and provide these to TTC staff upon request
• compile existing pertinent information from AIS Citizenship database for future projects in Wills & Estates Program and Genealogy Program
• organize Citizenship Committee meetings and follow-up on direction
• prepare reports on Citizenship and/or Indian Register changes
• provide administrative support to the Citizenship Committee
