Description

Industrial Engineer (NOC 2141) to work in the Mineral Exploration and Mining industry
Develop and fabricate placer gold recovery systems. Optimization of sluicing and gold recovery process. Additional duties include servicing and maintenance of equipment. The candidate would assist in various forms of placer gold testing including drilling, mechanical test pitting, geophysical surveys and aerial drone surveys and staking of mineral claims. Testing of material entails setting up of pumps, testing sluice box and final panning.

Requirements

Has experience being in a remote wilderness setting including setting up camp and operating in a safe and responsible manner. Must be familiar with how to prepare and work in extreme weather conditions. Has experience in operating ATV's, 4x4's, boats, and snow machines. Any experience operating equipment such as excavators, skid steers, loaders, rock trucks etc, is favourable. Has been in helicopters and knows how to safely maneuver in/out and around them under power. Has a fixed wing license that can be upgraded for commercial use if necessary; in order to service and mobilize to remote camps by lakes via float plane or remote air strips.

Education: Master's degree

Field of study: Business Administration and Management - General, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering - General

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people

Security and Safety: Criminal record check

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel, Willing to travel internationally, Own transportation, Valid driver's licence
