Evergreen Homes and Construction is hiring a full-time (40 hours/week), permanent Office Administrator (NOC 1221)!

Evergreen Homes and Construction is located in the Yukon. We build for the north in the north. We are here for the long term and so are our homes.

Responsibilities:
• Manages the day to day operations of the office, and assists with project coordination
• Works with management in preparing and maintaining project budgets, progress billings, and procurement activities
• Assists with planning and execution of proposals and project plans as well as staffing and allocation of resources as needed
• Manages the bookkeeping, payroll, and petty cash using standard tracking systems and financial software
• Maintains office supplies and technical equipment and systems, including phones, fax, and the internet
• Ensures effective implementation of all company and client policies and procedures
• May be required to assist in the preparation of progress and summary reports
• May need to travel to job sites in remote Yukon, NWT, North BC locations
• May need to work overtime on occasion and handle stressful timelines or situations
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

Requirements

• A minimum of three to five years related experience, preferably within the construction industry or transferable experience from related industries
• Diploma or degree in business, office administration, or project management would be an asset
• Strong computer skills including, but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheets, estimating, scheduling, and construction project management software
• Demonstrated ability to organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, monitor progress towards goals, track information, and pay attention to details
• Commitment to open communication and collaboration in a team environment
• Must be self-motivated, able to take initiative and work independently with little to no supervision at times while maintaining clear and timely communication with the management and teams
• Must understand and demonstrate professional and confidential behaviour and business ethics
• A vehicle and valid class 5 driver's license for occasional work-related travel would be an asset
• Must be a Canadian citizen or eligible to obtain legal authorization to work in Canada
• Another language will be an asset.
