Icy Waters Ltd. is an aquaculture company dedicated to the development, growth, processing, and sale of premium Arctic Charr and "Yukon Gold" Arctic Charr ova. The 25 + year old Canadian company believes that all employees be directly involved in production from "egg to plate".

We are seeking applicants for full time permanent employment for a Fish Processing Technician. Work will be primarily in the Fish Processing Plant with other farm duties as required.

Highlighted Responsibilities:
• Harvesting fish for daily processing
• Operating fish processing machinery
• Careful hand cutting
• Quality Control inspections to ensure all company standards are achieved
• Sorting, grading and packaging fish to fill customer orders
• Cleaning of the Plant and of all areas associated with processed product
• Participate in after hours alarm rotation
• Comply with all regulatory, safety and company procedures
• Tank Farm and Hatchery chores of feeding, monitoring, and handling fish as required


The qualities and skills preferred include:
• Experience in fish processing, food handling, quality control or aquaculture is an asset
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under time constraints
• Physically fit to stand, lift, carry, net; to do repetitive work in cold, wet environment, indoors/outdoors
• Aptitude to operate processing equipment
• Ability to communicate well in English
• Self-starter, able to work independently, effective communication, good interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail, accurate record keeping
• Computer experience with Excel, Word, and email
• Ability to respond to alarms
• Valid Driver's license or ability to obtain a Valid Driver's license
• Proof of ability to work in Canada

A criminal record check from RCMP must be provided before the first day of work and a further security check will be required after hire.
