Kluane Drilling is seeking an inventory control clerk to assist the Shop Manager by compiling inventory reports, entering inventory movements, tracking shipments, accounting for stock, and reconciling physical inventory with computer counts.

Strong Microsoft Office skills, experience with computerized inventory systems and a positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment are important. It would be beneficial to have experience in the mining or drilling industry.

Duties include:
• Review requisition orders for accuracy and verify that materials, equipment and stock are not available from current inventories.
• Contact suppliers to schedule deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed deliveries and other problems.
• Prepare and maintain purchasing files, reports and price lists.
• Monitor inventory levels as materials, equipment and stock are issued, transferred to projects or sold using manual and computerized inventory systems
• Compile inventory reports, recording the quantity, type and value of materials, equipment and stock on hand, using manual and computerized inventory systems
• Prepare requisition orders to replenish materials, equipment and stock
• Maintain stock rotation and dispose of and account for outdated stock
• Enter data for purchase orders, stock replenishment/relocation and inventory adjustments
• Reconcile physical inventories with computer counts.


Education requirements include:
• Completion of secondary school.
• Courses in production and inventory management or related fields
• Courses in inventory management software
• A combination of coursework and work experience in inventory management.
