Job Description/Duties:

PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc., in its capacity as Court-Appointed Receiver of Yukon Zinc Corporation has an immediate contract position for an experienced Camp Cook & Housekeeper (OFA3/EMR) at the Wolverine Mine located in southeast Yukon.

Wolverine is a "dry camp", fly-in/fly-out underground mine that is currently on care and maintenance. The mine site is located halfway between Ross River and Watson Lake on the Robert Campbell Highway, approximately 1 hour of air travel from of Whitehorse.

Please note that we are only screening local (Yukon) candidates for this opportunity. The successful candidate will be required to work 12 hours a day on 2 weeks in, 2 weeks out rotation.

Requirements:

Reporting to the care & maintenance Supervisor, the Camp Cook & Housekeeper works as a key member of the small Care & Maintenance team in the Wolverine Mine site responsible for site-wide maintenance and related work. Specific responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

• Provide general cooking, cleaning and housekeeping works in the day to day operation
• Demonstrate a professional attitude with the C&M crew between 6 – 12 people
• Liaise with other camp cook in ordering, receiving and organizing grocery inventory and cleaning supplies
• Practice "first in first out" rotation procedures to ensure food inventory control
• Perform safe food storage and proper food preparation standards
• Perform general cleaning and sanitization in the kitchen, washrooms, hallways and other common work areas
• Maintain good housekeeping standards in the camp as required by the supervisors
• Report all incidents and accidents immediately
• Be prepared to respond to any First Aid emergencies 24 hours a day
• Support medical evacuations as instructed by Medical Care Professionals and the site Emergency Response Plan (ERP)
• Provide ongoing inventory control of First Aid Room supplies
• Other duties as reasonably assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-year experience in similar food preparation and housekeeping role
• Experienced working in a remote camp environment in a 12-hour shift and 2-week rotation
• Able to work independently in an efficient manner with minimum supervision
• Solid organizational and problem-solving skills
• OFA 3 or EMR ticket or equivalent is required
• Food Safe certificate is required
• WHMIS certificate is required
