Salary: Level 12 Step 1 ($117,563)

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Human Resources, Education and Training is responsible for the management, administration and delivery of Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in Human Resources Services, Education Services and Employment Training Programs. The Director's mandate is to provide management oversight of TH's community capacity development programs and services including; Kindergarten to Grade 12 student support services and cultural content at the Robert Service School, Yukon College programming, Post-Secondary Education, pre-employment job readiness training and individual support to TH Citizens seeking employment.

Essential Qualifications:
· Post-Secondary Degree in Education, preferably a Master's Degree and a Degree / Diploma / Certification or related experience in Human Resources Management. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered;
· Experience in Education Administration;
· Knowledge of Education-related Legislation and Regulations;
· Financial Management / Budget experience;
· Supervisory experience;
· General knowledge of TH Self-Government Agreements, and specific knowledge of the education provisions under Chapter 24 of the Final Agreement;
· Knowledge of, Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in government structure, culture, traditions, history, demographics, family structures and socio-economic dynamics, challenges and aspirations;

Assets:
· Ability to develop and deliver educational programs and services;
· Strong organizational and time management skills;
· Strong conflict management and dispute resolution abilities;
· Excellent communication skills, both oral and written;
· Ability to gain the trust and cooperation of others in resolving problems and addressing concerns;
· Ability to interact effectively with committees, parents, children, and faculty, demonstrating tact and diplomacy with all interactions.

Conditions of Employment:
· Criminal Record Check;
· Class 5 Driver's license;
