Position: Operations Manager
Department: Lands & Resources
Term: 2 year full time to March 31, 2020
Start: ASAP

Kwanlin Dün First Nation is seeking a qualified Operations Manager. This position coordinates all departmental activities related to land and resource management specific to inspections, monitoring and compliance. It is responsible for the development and implementation of the technical planning role specific to fish, wildlife, forestry, water and habitat preservation in partnership with the lands planning unit of the department.
We are looking for an individual with experience developing and implementing policy and process, who has experience developing and leading a team and who has solid communication skills.

Essential Qualifications:
· Diploma in renewable resources, natural resource conservation, ecosystem management or related
· Previous experience in enforcement and in administering resource legislation and regulatory processes
· Experience developing, delivering and evaluating programs, services, policies and guidelines
· Experience with staff supervision inclusive of staff training and development
· Experience implementation work plans
· Successful experience dealing with conflict
· Experience working as an effective and contributing member of a senior management team.

Knowledge of the history, culture, Traditional Territory, demographics and our Kwanlin Dün Agreements is necessary for success.

Conditions of Employment: Acceptable pre-employment criminal record; Class 5 driver's license, acceptable driver's abstract and reliable transportation; First Aid and CPR

Job Requirements: Physical fitness; a portion of the work will be done outdoors in various weather conditions; First Aid & CPR (Wilderness First Aid is an asset); various occupational health & safety coursework or willingness to obtain as soon as possible

Salary: $74,092 to $92,784 per annum (Level 7) plus benefits
